MarCom
Hi, many of us know this
term or some might be into it but not aware this term, okay let me say MarCom
is nothing but Marketing Communications.
What comes under MarCom:
It’s an outline for all
basic marketing communication and concepts we plan for any brands and any MarCom
should have the objective.
The objective should be
Infront of the Pricing, product, positioning, Target, customer, activities,
sales and distribution
It’s been always an
interesting for me to talk about positioning, most of the times we just go
blindly by the market but what I would suggest is rather going only market
consider / discuss the all ins & outs of the product and bring out the need
of the product that occupies the space in customer’s mind.
When I say MarCom, it should
have an objective that should sustain the demand and preferences for the
product and that includes the product life cycle
What we as a marketing
person will face challenge is transforming our positioning to communication and
sometimes, we may/ not convinced with our communications. It simple if your positioning
& communications meets out the following value then your communication
points are good
1. Your communications should define the product
2. Brief the benefits of the product
3. The effect / results of the product
4. Finally, the value that creates in customer mind
The 4 values will help the product to build as a brand
and definitely Brand building will helps us to improve MS, Profit and Value of
the company
Sales / Buying Process
Any
product success is on engage & deliver to the customer. So, it is always to
have a critical insight through the market research and discussion / meeting
with the sales team. In short MarCom also should focus on packing and
delivering the required information to the customer.
